Matarbari Power Plant set an ambitious goal of constructing a 1,200-megawatt coal-fired power station in Maheshkhali Upazila of Cox’s Bazar District, the consortium consisting of Sumitomo, Toshiba, and IHI took charge of implementing this massive project.
